The Power of Violent Faith

SUNDAY 27TH SEPTEMBER 2015.
FAITH AT WORK MINISTRIES – HEAVEN ON EARTH CHAPEL

I welcome you to this Holy gathering in Jesus Name. You have not come to a hotel, nor a bear parlor, but you have come To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect, Hebrews 12:23

Ye shall know the truth, and the Truth shall set you free. (John 8:32)

THE POWER OF VIOLENT FAITH
MATTHEW 17
20 And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

The power of faith can make what is completely impossible to become possible. If there is:
  • No conflict, there will be no peace.
  • No violence, No victory (Mt 12:11)
  • No fight, No progress
Deuteronomy 2:24 Rise ye up, take your journey, and pass over the river Arnon: behold, I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land: begin to possess [it], and contend with him in battle.
  • No aggression, No possession
  • No war, No enlargement
    Isaiah 54:2 Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;
1Chronicles 4:10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep [me] from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
  • No battle, No breakthroughs
Listen to me, whether you believe it or not, you are in a war! People only throw stones at mango trees with fruits. No body bothers to through stones at a mango tree without fruits. If you are being attacked, it is good sign that there is till something precious in your life worth contesting for. It is up to you to employ the weapon God has given to you to enlarge your coast and possess your possession.
YOU WILL POSSESS THE GATES OF YOUR ENEMY IN JESUS NAME! -

Genesis 22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which [is] upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies;

Genesis 24:60 And they blessed Rebekah, and said unto her, Thou [art] our sister, be thou [the mother] of thousands of millions, and let thy seed possess the gate of those which hate them.

OBADIAH 1
17 But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.

What is Violent faith? (Luke 8:43, Matthew 9:20-22, Mark 5:25)
  1. Violent faith is desperate faith
  2. Violent faith sees that there is nothing beyond its ability
  3. Violent faith is a persistence faith (Luke 18:2)
  4. Violent faith cannot be threatened or intimidated
  5. Violent faith will make every effort to cross any barrier standing on its way
  6. Violent faith understands that God is awesome and mighty
  7. Violent faith is a mountain confronter and remover
  8. to be continued in our subsequent teachings as the Spirit leads.

Now, more vital is that you must never claim to have faith when you do not know the man that operates behind the faith. That man is Jesus. He is the only name giving to man for salvation. If you know that you really want to call on his Name and it answers to you according to your faith, then you must know him personally.
Now say this after me! Dear Jesus, from today you are my Lord! You are my all! Please forgive me my sins! Wash me with your blood! Grant me the Holy Ghost! And guide me in all that I do. Thank you for accepting me! In Jesus Name I Pray.

If you know you said this prayer with me, please fill the forms distributed to you! God bless you!

I AM MORE THAN A CONQUEROR by Pst. Oni Majesty

Rom 8:37
Midweek/Communion Service:  Topic: Breaking through hardships in life.

Introduction
That we are in Church is not a freelance to enjoyment without huddles.  It takes strict obedience to godly principles to breakout from the norms of this life.  Every child of God is ordained to go through the challenges of life.  We are not ordained to die in it. It is through that hardship is real but what is more real is that we are more than Conquerors.  Rom 8: 35-37

Christ suffered hardship to take us to where we are today, so it is not something new! Someone paid the price for our salvation!  The gospel of Christ that we are enjoying today, some saints paid the supreme price to get it to Africa and we need to do same.  Nothing of value is ever free.  There is always a price to be paid Rom 8:16-17. As soldiers of Christ, we are to endure hardness (2 Tim 2:3). Ask any successful man or woman today, their story is that they endure hardness!  It is my prayer that God give you more grace in Jesus Name!

As believers, the through proofs of your divine calling must be tested! For example, when God has created you to feed the poor, then you must taste some hard poverty to know what it is to be poor.  The processes of life are ordained to make us strong and not to mar us.

God has giving all things freely to the Church but we must work for it.  Rom 8:29-37.

How do I breakthrough the hardship of life?
1.            Operating with absolute love for God and the things of God: Rom 8:38-39.  We must understand that “all things work together for good to them that loved God” Rom 8:28. Love the things of God.  Love prayer, fasting, sowing, evangelism etc.

2.            Be a covenant practitioner!  Be a giver, be a sower.  Gen 8:22.  It is a spiritual law.  We must understand that whatever promise God has promised us, He is faithful to also bring it to pass.  Rom 9:9. Faithful is he that promised who also will do it. (1 Thess 4:24), Eccl 11:6.  Gen 26:12.  Believers must learn to release their Isaac so that they can become a generational blessing. Gen 22:13; Heb 11:17 and Jam 2:21.

3.            Be diligent in your Work!  Harvest precedes a work.  Don’t be a lazy fellow.  Even prayer is hardwork.  You must do the work that God has ordained for you diligently.  Let him that does not work never eat. God your father worked and He is still working, so you must work.  Gen 2:2. Eccl 7:13a.  Eccl 9:10. John 6:28-29.  It is an error to mandate the people to live their various work in the morning for prayer meeting.  Eccl 3:1.
To be continued!

The Names of God!

What are the names of God? What do the names of God mean?

The Bible contains literally hundreds of different names and titles of God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. For the purposes of this article, we will look at the names of God the Father, many of which are found in the Old Testament and are noted in the Hebrew and in English. Each of God's names and titles describes a different aspect of His nature and character.

ABBA: "Papa" ( Mark 14:36 ; Romans 8:15 ; Galatians 4:6 ) First spoken by Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane the night before His crucifixion, "Abba" indicates an intimacy with God as that of a child to his/her father. When we come to Christ in faith, we receive the "Spirit of sonship" and can then approach God as our loving, forgiving Father.

ADONAI: "Lord" (Genesis 15:2 ; Judges 6:15 ) used in place of YHWH, which was thought by the Jews to be too sacred to be uttered by sinful men. "Adonai" is from a Hebrew root word meaning to rule. It refers to a sovereign controller, lord, master, owner.

ALMIGHTY GOD (EL SHADDAI): "The Mighty One  of Jacob" ( Genesis 49:24 ; Psalm 132:2 , 5 ) speaks to God's ultimate and sovereign power over all. Other similar names are "Lord Almighty" (2 Corinthians 6:18), "Lord God Almighty" (Revelation 15:3), "Lord God Omnipotent" (Revelation 19:6 ), and "Mighty One of Israel" ( Isaiah 1:24 ).

ANCIENT OF DAYS: ( Daniel 7:9 , 13, 22 ) Found only in these three verses in Daniel's vision of the end times, referring to God as the "Ancient of Days" denotes His eternality. Unlike the four worldly empires of Daniel 7, which will crumble and fall, the Ancient of Days always existed and always will exist. Daniel sees the Ancient of Days with hair and clothing white as snow and with a river of fire coming from Him ( Daniel 7:9-10).

CREATOR: ( Isaiah 40:28 , 43:15 ) God, the Creator of the world has made it, upholds it, governs it, and judges righteously in it. He who created everything is from everlasting to everlasting, unchangeably the same.  As the One who created everything, He is the self-existent
and all comprehending Being, the maker and former and upholder of all things. As Isaiah reminded the people of Israel, only the Creator God is worthy of our worship.

DELIVERER: ( 2 Samuel 22:2 ; Psalm 18:2 , 40:17,70:5) A favorite name for God used by David, probably because of the number of times God  faithfully delivered David from his enemies, including King Saul who tried often to kill him. God may not choose to deliver us from all of life's dangers, but He has provided the ultimate deliverance in His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, by whose sacrifice on the cross we are delivered from the ultimate dangereternity in hell for sin.

ELOHIM: ( Genesis 1:1 ) - the plural form of El or Eloah, which shows the triune nature of God. From the Bible's first sentence, the God's power is evident as He (Elohim) speaks the world into existence. Genesis 1:26 describes the inter-trinitarian communication: "Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, after our likeness'" (emphasis added).

EL ROI: "God of Seeing" ( Genesis 16:13 ) Sarah's servant, Hagar, called God by this name when the angel of the Lord appeared to her in the wilderness. Alone and desperate after being driven out by Sarah ( Genesis 16:1-14 ), the Lord assured her that He was aware of her plight and that He would make of her unborn son, Ishmael, a great nation. El Roi is not a distant and aloof God, but one who sees the needs of His people, hears our prayers and comes to our aid in times of trouble.

EVERLASTING GOD (EL-OLAM): (Genesis 21:33 ; Psalm 90:1-3) God's nature is without beginning and without end, the One who will never cease to be. He is outside of time and, in fact, created and controls time without being constrained by it in any way. "From everlasting to everlasting, you are God" ( Psalm 90:2 ).

FATHER: ( Isaiah 64:8 ) People in the Old Testament didn't often think of God in fatherly terms. It took Jesus to show us the loving mercies of our heavenly Father who so loved the world that He sent His Son so that all who believe on Him can have eternal life ( John 3:16 ). In the New Testament, God is often referred to as Father. He is the "Father of Glory" ( Ephesians 1:17 ), "Father of Lights" ( James 1:17 ), "Father of Mercies" ( 2 Corinthians 1:3 ), "Father of Spirits" (Hebrews 12:9 ), and the "Father of our Lord Jesus Christ" ( Colossians 1:3 ).

HOLY ONE: ( Isaiah 43:15 ) - Also called the "Holy One of Israel" ( Isaiah 1:4 , 12:6 , 60:9 ) and the
"Holy One of Jacob" ( Isaiah 29:23 ), God's premiere attribute of holiness is on display in these names. God's holiness is more than just His perfection or sinless purity; it is the essence of His transcendence, the quality of being separateoutside and above all of creation. God's holiness embodies His mysterious awesomeness and, because of His transcendent holiness, we gaze in awe at Him. The Holy One's purity makes it impossible for Him to tolerate sin, and to satisfy His own holiness, He provided a way for sinful mankind to approach Himthrough the sacrifice of Christ, the sinless Son of God.

I AM: ( Exodus 3:14 ) This name for God, given by Him to Moses, is a form of the Hebrew "to be." It expresses His self-existence and the unchangeableness of His nature.  He is the "eternal present," because He always was and always will be. Because He is outside time, He is always in the present. He does not change or change His mind. He is immutable.

YAHWEH / YHWH / JEHOVAH:  "LORD" ( Deuteronomy 6:4 ; Daniel 9:14 ) strictly speaking, the only proper name for God. Translated in English Bibles "LORD" (all capitals) to distinguish it from Adonai, "Lord." "Jehovah" is derived from the YHWH, the 'tetragrammaton' which is all that remains of the name from the original Hebrew. The Jews from a feeling of reverence avoided the utterance of this sacred name except on the most solemn occasions. This name specifies immanence, a presence. Yahweh is present, accessible, near to those who call on Him for deliverance ( Psalm 107:13 ), forgiveness ( Psalm 25:11 ), and guidance ( Psalm 31:3 ).

YAHWEH-JIREH: "The Lord Will Provide" ( Genesis 22:14 ) Abraham called God by this name after God stayed his hand from sacrificing Isaac and instead provided a ram for the sacrifice. God still provides for His people's needs, from our daily bread to the Bread of Life who is Christ and the food of His Word.

YAHWEH-RAPHA: "The Lord Who Heals" ( Exodus 15:26 ) "I am Jehovah who heals you" both in body and soul. Although God often heals our physical maladies in many ways, the most prominent aspect of the Lord's healing is the provision of Jesus Christ, by whose stripes we are healed of the disease of sin ( Isaiah 53:5 ).  Forgiving sin is a healing of this disease and this
is available only through the blood and sacrifice on the cross of the Son of God.

YAHWEH-NISSI: "The Lord Our Banner" ( Exodus 17:15 ) Moses gave this name to an altar he built in the wilderness to commemorate the desert victory over the Amalekites in Exodus 17. In
ancient times, armies fought under a banner that identified their tribe or nation. God's people fight the "good fight of the faith" ( 1 Timothy 6:12 ) under the banner of the Lord of Hosts.

YAHWEH-M'KADDESH: "The Lord Who Sanctifies, Makes Holy" ( Leviticus 20:8 ; Ezekiel 37:28 ) God alone, not the law, or any works of man, can cleanse His people and make them holy. Only through the provision of the Lord Jesus Christ, whose righteousness was exchanged for our sin
on the cross ( 2 Corinthians 5:21 ), can we be sanctified and made holy.

YAHWEH-SHALOM: "The Lord Our Peace" ( Judges 6:24 ) This is the name given by Gideon to the altar he built after the Angel of the Lord assured him he would not die as he thought he would after seeing God burn up the sacrificial offering. Yahweh is still the Lord of Peace, as David declares in Psalm 29:11 (NIV) "The LORD gives strength to his people; the LORD blesses his people with peace."

YAHWEH-ELOHIM: "LORD God" ( Genesis 2:4 ; Psalm 59:5 ) This is a combination of God's unique name YHWH and the generic "Lord," identifying Him as the Lord of Lords. There are many so-called "lords and gods," there is only one LORD God "from whom are all things and for  whom we exist" ( 1 Corinthians 8:5-6 ).

YAHWEH-TSIDKENU: "The Lord Our Righteousness" ( Jeremiah 33:16 ) God alone provides righteousness to man, ultimately in Jesus Christ, who became sin for us "that in him we might become the righteousness of God" ( 2 Corinthians 5:21 ). There is no righteousness outside of that of God. The only way we can be righteous is to accept the gift of His Son.

JUDGE: ( Psalm 75:7 ) Also referred to as the "Judge of all the earth" ( Genesis 18:25 ) and "Judge of Israel" ( Micah 5:1 ) and "Judge of all" ( Hebrews 12:23 ), the concept of God as the ultimate Judge is found throughout Scripture. God is the ultimate dispenser of justice because He alone is worthy to do so. Only He can separate the wheat from the tares, reward the deserving and punish the pretenders. Surely the Judge of all the earth does right. No earthly judge can make such a claim.

KING: ( Psalm 10:16 , 47:2 , 98:6 , 149:2 ) To the people of the ancient world, the word "king"  had much greater significance than it does to us today. The ancient kings were absolute rulers with complete and total authority. Answerable to no one, their word was the law of the land. But above all earthly kings and rulers stands the ultimate King who alone is worthy of worship and obedience. He is the "King of Glory" ( Psalm 24:7-10 ) and "the King of the ages, immortal, invisible" ( 1 Timothy 1:17 ).

LAWGIVER: ( Isaiah 33:22 ) God gave the Ten Commandments to provide a moral code for His people. His laws are the key to joy and contentment in this life and His giving them to us displays His love and care for us. "Oh how I love your law," David cries in Psalm 119:97 . The inability of mankind to keep God's laws only proves our need for a Savior who perfectly fulfilled the Law so that we can experience the joy of living in Him. The Lawgiver gave the Law, then gave the perfect fulfillment of it in Jesus.

LIGHT: ( Psalm 27:1 ) God's glory and presence were symbolized by the light of the pillar of fire to lead the Israelites escaping from Egypt. As our Light, God still guides us today, giving us insight and wisdom through His Word which is a "lamp to our feet" and a "light to our path" (Psalm 119:105 ). He has also given us His Son, Jesus, who is the "Light of the World" ( John 8:12). In heaven there will be no need of the moon or the sun because God will be the only Light
( Revelation 22:5 ).

LORD OF HOSTS (YAHWEH-SABAOTH): ( Isaiah 1:24 ; Psalm 46:7 ) Hosts means "hordes" of angels and/or of men. Appearing 250 times in the Bible (18 times in the 18th chapter of  Zechariah alone), the "Lord of Hosts" is one of the most common names for God. He who rules the universe exercises control over all the hosts of heaven and ultimate control over the armies of the earth, whether we recognize it or not.

MOST HIGH (EL-ELYON): ( 2 Samuel 22:14 ; Psalms 9:2 , 73:11 , 107:11 ) This name is derived from the Hebrew root for "go up" or "ascend," so the implication is of that which is the very highest. El Elyon denotes exaltation and speaks of absolute right to lordship. Nothing in all creation is higher than God. As Nebuchadnezzar discovered, "the Most High rules the kingdom of men" ( Daniel 4:31-37 ).

ROCK: ( 1 Samuel 2:2 ) Also called the "Rock of Israel" ( 2 Samuel 23:3 ), "Rock of My Refuge" (Psalm 94:22 ), Rock of My Salvation" ( 2 Samuel 22:47 ), and Rock of My Strength" ( Psalm 62:7). The Hebrew word translated "Rock" when referring to God is a massive outcropping or huge rock formation. It describes God as the unmovable One who is not subject to the ravages of time and who stands like a mighty fortress, strong and dependable to His people.

REDEEMER: ( Isaiah 54:8 ) Also referred to as the "Redeemer of Israel" ( Isaiah 49:7 ), God is the ultimate rescuer of His people. To "redeem" is to ransom by means of a price or a valuable consideration. It is used in the Old Testament of captives taken in war or to redeem property that was sold by paying back the price. God's redemptive plans and power find their culmination
in Jesus Christ whom the Redeemer of Israel sent to redeem His bride through His sacrifice on the cross.

SHEPHERD: ( Psalm 23:1 ) Also called Yahweh- Rohi - the "Shepherd of Israel" ( Psalm 80:1 ). Like a shepherd who leads his sheep to good pasture and protects them from predators, the Lord is our Shepherd, supplying our needs, giving us victory over the enemy of our souls (Satan), and leading us through life to the ultimate "valley of the shadow of death."

The Essense of Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving is what entitles a believer to his next levels of God's blessing. It was guarantees the believers' increase.  Let the people praise him, let the people praise him then shall the earth yield her increase Ps 65:5-7.
Giving thanks is one of the ways of showing appreciation for what God has done and what He is about to do in our lives.  You can thank God in anticipation of what he is about to do in your life.

Why must we give thanks?

John 3:27 John answered and said, A man can receive nothing, except it be given him from heaven.

There is nothing that we have today that is not giving him from Heaven.  Who supplies our needs from heaven.  Our heavenly father.  So whether it be children, house, wealth, health, and all the good things of life, it must be given from heaven.

James 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

God is the father of lights and we are the light of the world.  My emphasis here is that whatever we are and have today is not an achievement but a receivement from the Lord.

Jesus is Lord.

Empowerment via the Anointing

ANOINTING FOR EMPOWERMENT –UNVEILING THE FORCE OF PRAYER & FASTING

A journey without a definition cannot get to its destination.  The same way one must determine his purpose of being in a spiritual gathering.  It takes prayers to see our desires in the kingdom of God come to realities.  I like us to know that prayers are in different levels but on this occasion I would like to classify prayers in two distinct levels.

Desire:  This is a level of prayer when the believers ask that God should go with him in his daily endeavour.  He just simply say before he lives the home; Father, as I live the house today, please go with me, guide me and protect me from the evil one, etc.  But the kind of prayer I would like you to pray today is:
The Commander’s Prayer:  This is the wrestling kind of prayer. Like the one Jacob prayed (Gen 32:24-28).  He was left alone and he wrestled till the breaking of the day.  He never mind whether his bones were at of joints.  He persisted.  The good news is that it was that encounter that changed Jacobs’s life forever.
Without groaning, there is no crowning.
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Rom 8:26-27.
This kind of prayer that is effectual.  Like the one Elijah prayed and in the space of three and half years there was no rain and he prayed earnestly again and the heaven gave its rain.
17 Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months.
18 And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
James 5:17-18
Our level of empowerment is what determines our level of command.  Just like in the political settings, there are levels of government.  In Nigeria for instance, there are three levels of government viz the local government, the state government and the federal government.  The chairman of a local government commands certain authority but not beyond his local government area.  The State government also exercises full authority within his state and dare not move to another state within the federation to exercise his mandate.  But the president of a nation has his power cut across local and state governments.  These are different levels of power execution.
This prayer calls for a one-line item kind of prayer.   You keep enforcing it until your change is delivered.
Jabez prayed to become a honourable man.  There are levels of honourables. There are honourable councilors, honourable commissioners, honourable house of representatives and there are honourable ministers.  Jabez became more honourable than his brethren from the alter of prayer.
To pray this kind of prayer, you need to exhibit the following characteristics
i.                     You must be left alone
ii.                   You must be panting for a change of level (Eze 47:9-10)

ANOINTED AS KING
No king ever reigned in Israel until they are anointed. (Rev 5:9-10).  Every child of God is redeemed a king to reign on earth.  Every prince is born a king but not every prince reigns as king.
We must understand this, that no king anoints himself as king to reign.  God is the anointer.  How God anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power…. (Act 10:38).  Samuel was sent to anoint Saul to become king of Israel.  When God rejected Saul and choose David as king, he also instructed Samuel to anoint David.
1Samuel 16:1 And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among his sons.

Prophets sees what you can’t see.  You can’t train to become a prophet.  There is no Phd in prophesy.  They are custodian of divine secrets.  Nobody mocks the prophetic and not become a mockery.  Kings reign in palaces. By palace I mean being a king in your own calling.  You become a king in your divine profession.  There are men that are most honourable than those that are local kings in earthy palaces.  You will reign in Jesus Name.
Like I mentioned earlier, no one anoints himself as kings.  It is only through God’s word.  The word sent through his messengers.
It is  important to also note that we are living in the days of the prophets  Mal 4:4-6

4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.

There shall be duplication of the grace that is in the life of the father to the children.  It is this heart to heart connectivity that qualifies us for the duplication of grace.    There are many prophets but there is a prophet sent to you.  Lk 4:25-27.
25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land;
26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow.
27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.

A son of the prophet is not the same as the Prophet.  When you locate them, engage in a heart to heart connectivity with them.  God sends prophets your way to take you to your destination.  Thanks be to God who has sent me to you! (Prov 27:19). 19 As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.

BIBLICAL EXPLANATION ON TITHING

Most believers have raised so many questions that answers has not been provided.  Some say " I know that God said we should pay tithes of all but where do will pay it, how do will pay it and to whom  do we pay tithes. Please read through all and not some of these scriptures as captured by KJV.  You may also take out the responsibility of searching this scriptures in other translations of the Bible.  Remember study to show thyself approve a workman that needed not to be ashamed...

BIBLICAL EXPLANATION ON TITHING

GEN 14:

18 And Melchizedek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God.

19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:

20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

21 And the king of Sodom said unto Abram, Give me the persons, and take the goods to thyself.

22 And Abram said to the king of Sodom, I have lift up mine hand unto the LORD, the most high God, the possessor of heaven and earth,

23 That I will not take from a thread even to a shoelatchet, and that I will not take any thing that is thine, lest thou shouldest say, I have made Abram rich:

24 Save only that which the young men have eaten, and the portion of the men which went with me, Aner, Eshcol, and Mamre; let them take their portion.

The above shows that Abram paid tithe of all. Paid it to a high priest.

Leviticus 27:31 And if a man will at all redeem [ought] of his tithes, he shall add thereto the fifth [part] thereof. PAYMENT OF PART OF TITHES ATTRACT 5% addition

Numbers 18:24 But the tithes of the children of Israel, which they offer [as] an heave offering unto the LORD, I have given to the Levites to inherit: therefore I have said unto them, Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.

The above clearly stated also that tithes are for the Levites (Priests)

Numbers 18:26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, [even] a tenth [part] of the tithe.

Numbers 18:28 Thus ye also shall offer an heave offering unto the LORD of all your tithes, which ye receive of the children of Israel; and ye shall give thereof the LORD'S heave offering to Aaron the priest.

Another question is, do the priest consume the tithes? The answer from the above scriptures states clearly that after the priest receives your tithe, he set out 10% of the total received tithes as an offering to the Lord.

Who takes that Lord’s offering since the Lord does not use our money or gold? That part is used for the widow indeed, the fatherless, the needy or poor for their welfare by the Priest.

DEUT 12:

5 But unto the place which the LORD your God shall choose out of all your tribes to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come:

6 And thither ye shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and heave offerings of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstlings of your herds and of your flocks:

7 And there ye shall eat before the LORD your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein the LORD thy God hath blessed thee.

8 Ye shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatsoever is right in his own eyes.

9 For ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which the LORD your God giveth you.

DEUT 14

22 Thou shalt truly tithe all the increase of thy seed, that the field bringeth forth year by year.

23 And thou shalt eat before the LORD thy God, in the place which he shall choose to place his name there, the tithe of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the firstlings of thy herds and of thy flocks; that thou mayest learn to fear the LORD thy God always.

24 And if the way be too long for thee, so that thou art not able to carry it; or if the place be too far from thee, which the LORD thy God shall choose to set his name there, when the LORD thy God hath blessed thee:

25 Then shalt thou turn it into money, and bind up the money in thine hand, and shalt go unto the place which the LORD thy God shall choose:

26 And thou shalt bestow that money for whatsoever thy soul lusteth after, for oxen, or for sheep, or for wine, or for strong drink, or for whatsoever thy soul desireth: and thou shalt eat there before the LORD thy God, and thou shalt rejoice, thou, and thine household,

27 And the Levite that is within thy gates; thou shalt not forsake him; for he hath no part nor inheritance with thee.

28 At the end of three years thou shalt bring forth all the tithe of thine increase the same year, and shalt lay it up within thy gates:

29 And the Levite, (because he hath no part nor inheritance with thee,) and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, which are within thy gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied; that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hand which thou doest.

Deut: 26

12 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled;

13 Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the fatherless, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them :

14 I have not eaten thereof in my mourning, neither have I taken away ought thereof for any unclean use , nor given ought thereof for the dead: but I have hearkened to the voice of the LORD my God, and have done according to all that thou hast commanded me.

The above scriptures suggests to me that you eat your tithe before the Lord because you are not in your place of rest or inheritance yet. The people of God where still in the wilderness. How can a man rob God if the same God gave this commandment that it should be spent on lusts?

From the above scripture, the Question is, who consumes the tithe, is it the giver or the priest? Where is the Lord’s chosen place? And what do we use the tithe for?

2 CHR 31

5 And as soon as the commandment came abroad, the children of Israel brought in abundance the firstfruits of corn, wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field; and the tithe of all things brought they in abundantly.

6 And concerning the children of Israel and Judah, that dwelt in the cities of Judah, they also brought in the tithe of oxen and sheep, and the tithe of holy things which were consecrated unto the LORD their God, and laid them by heaps.

7 In the third month they began to lay the foundation of the heaps, and finished them in the seventh month.

8 And when Hezekiah and the princes came and saw the heaps, they blessed the LORD, and his people Israel.

9 Then Hezekiah questioned with the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps.

10 And Azariah the chief priest of the house of Zadok answered him, and said, Since the people began to bring the offerings into the house of the LORD, we have had enough to eat, and have left plenty: for the LORD hath blessed his people; and that which is left is this great store.

11 Then Hezekiah commanded to prepare chambers in the house of the LORD; and they prepared them ,

12 And brought in the offerings and the tithes and the dedicated things faithfully: over which Cononiah the Levite was ruler, and Shimei his brother was the next.

13 And Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, were overseers under the hand of Cononiah and Shimei his brother, at the commandment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah the ruler of the house of God.

14 And Kore the son of Imnah the Levite, the porter toward the east, was over the freewill offerings of God, to distribute the oblations of the LORD, and the most holy things.

15 And next him were Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shecaniah, in the cities of the priests, in their set office, to give to their brethren by courses, as well to the great as to the small:

After the wilderness experience tithes and offerings were now stored in God’s House to be administered by the priest who appoints keepers (rulers) as revealed in the above scriptures.

Neh 13:

3 Now it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated from Israel all the mixed multitude.

4 And before this, Eliashib the priest, having the oversight of the chamber of the house of our God, was allied unto Tobiah:

5 And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where aforetime they laid the meat offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the offerings of the priests.

6 But in all this time was not I at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king:

7 And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God.

8 And it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff of Tobiah out of the chamber.

9 Then I commanded, and they cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God, with the meat offering and the frankincense.

10 And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them : for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field.

11 Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place.

12 Then brought all Judah the tithe of the corn and the new wine and the oil unto the treasuries.

13 And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah: for they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute unto their brethren.

14 Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.

I understand from the above scriptures that the tithe is meant to be for the levites, and the singers.  It must be in the House of God and must be looked after by the treasurer (Accountants of today’s church).

Malachi 3:8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.
From the above scripture, we must obey the law of tithing the same way we obey the commandment not to steal or covet our neighbor’s property otherwise it is more terrible to fall into the hands of God. Those who fail to pay tithes are robbing God.

Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].

There is a stern command from God in the above scriptures that tithe should be brought to the storehouse (a place in the House of God) as previously seen.  The good news is that you do not obey this command in vein.  There is a blessing which the believer’s room will not be able to handle.

Matthew 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier [matters] of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.

Luke 11:42 But woe unto you, Pharisees! for ye tithe mint and rue and all manner of herbs, and pass over judgment and the love of God: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
The above two scriptures reveal that we must not leave tithing undone as well as the former.

Hebrews 7:5 And verily they that are of the sons of Levi, who receive the office of the priesthood, have a commandment to take tithes of the people according to the law, that is, of their brethren, though they come out of the loins of Abraham:

The priests have been commanded to received tithes from the children of God.

Hebrews 7:6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.

Hebrews 7:8 And here men that die receive tithes; but there he [receiveth them], of whom it is witnessed that he liveth.

Hebrews 7:9 And as I may so say, Levi also, who receiveth tithes, payed tithes in Abraham.

Even the Levites who receives tithe pay tithes also

So, let nothing stop your tithing to the best of your ability.  Whatever you see as an increase needs to be tithed. Don’t let any devil or its agents deceive you.  No amount of education or degrees acquired is sufficient enough to interpret the scriptures but the Spirit of God that is in Man.  What you don’t understand in this Kingdom can never work for you!

Remain blessed!
