ANOINTING FOR EMPOWERMENT –UNVEILING THE FORCE OF PRAYER & FASTING
A journey without a definition
cannot get to its destination. The same
way one must determine his purpose of being in a spiritual gathering. It takes prayers to see our desires in the
kingdom of God come to realities. I like
us to know that prayers are in different levels but on this occasion I would
like to classify prayers in two distinct levels.
Desire: This is a level of
prayer when the believers ask that God should go with him in his daily
endeavour. He just simply say before he
lives the home; Father, as I live the house today, please go with me, guide me
and protect me from the evil one, etc.
But the kind of prayer I would like you to pray today is:
The Commander’s Prayer: This
is the wrestling kind of prayer. Like the one Jacob prayed (Gen 32:24-28). He was left alone and he wrestled till the
breaking of the day. He never mind
whether his bones were at of joints. He
persisted. The good news is that it was
that encounter that changed Jacobs’s life forever.
Without groaning, there is no
crowning.
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we
know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh
intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he
maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
Rom 8:26-27.
This kind of prayer that is
effectual. Like the one Elijah prayed
and in the space of three and half years there was no rain and he prayed earnestly
again and the heaven gave its rain.
17 Elias was a
man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might
not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six
months.
18 And he
prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.
James 5:17-18
Our level of empowerment is what determines
our level of command. Just like in the
political settings, there are levels of government. In Nigeria for instance, there are three levels
of government viz the local government, the state government and the federal
government. The chairman of a local
government commands certain authority but not beyond his local government area. The State government also exercises full
authority within his state and dare not move to another state within the
federation to exercise his mandate. But
the president of a nation has his power cut across local and state
governments. These are different levels
of power execution.
This prayer calls for a one-line
item kind of prayer. You keep enforcing
it until your change is delivered.
Jabez prayed to become a honourable
man. There are levels of honourables.
There are honourable councilors, honourable commissioners, honourable house of
representatives and there are honourable ministers. Jabez became more honourable than his
brethren from the alter of prayer.
To pray this kind of prayer, you
need to exhibit the following characteristics
i.
You must be left alone
ii.
You must be panting for a change of level (Eze
47:9-10)
ANOINTED AS KING
No king ever reigned in Israel
until they are anointed. (Rev 5:9-10).
Every child of God is redeemed a king to reign on earth. Every prince is born a king but not every
prince reigns as king.
We must understand this, that no
king anoints himself as king to reign.
God is the anointer. How God
anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power…. (Act
10:38). Samuel was sent to anoint Saul
to become king of Israel. When God
rejected Saul and choose David as king, he also instructed Samuel to anoint
David.
1Samuel 16:1 And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt
thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill
thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I
have provided me a king among his sons.
Prophets sees what you can’t
see. You can’t train to become a
prophet. There is no Phd in
prophesy. They are custodian of divine
secrets. Nobody mocks the prophetic and
not become a mockery. Kings reign in
palaces. By palace I mean being a king in your own calling. You become a king in your divine
profession. There are men that are most
honourable than those that are local kings in earthy palaces. You will reign in Jesus Name.
Like I mentioned earlier, no one
anoints himself as kings. It is only
through God’s word. The word sent
through his messengers.
It
is important to also note that we are
living in the days of the prophets Mal
4:4-6
4 Remember ye the law of Moses my servant, which I
commanded unto him in Horeb for all Israel, with the statutes and judgments.
5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the
coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:
6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the
children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite
the earth with a curse.
There
shall be duplication of the grace that is in the life of the father to the
children. It is this heart to heart
connectivity that qualifies us for the duplication of grace. There are many prophets but there is a
prophet sent to you. Lk 4:25-27.
25 But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel
in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months,
when great famine was throughout all the land;
26 But unto none of them was Elias sent, save unto
Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto
a woman that was a widow.
27 And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus
the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian.
A son of the prophet is not the same as the
Prophet. When you locate them, engage in
a heart to heart connectivity with them.
God sends prophets your way to take you to your destination. Thanks be to God who has sent me to you! (Prov
27:19). 19 As in water face answereth to face, so the heart of man to man.
BAPTISM INTO THE PROPHETIC: (1 COR
10:1-4)
1 Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be
ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through
the sea;
2 And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the
sea;
3 And did all eat the same spiritual meat;
4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they
drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ.
They were all immersed unto
Moses. That was why they naturally carry
all that the Prophet Moses carried.
Keys to Securing the fulfillment of Prophesies
Prophesies
are divine verdict. They are not philosophical expressions, they are not
psychological predictions, they are not metaphysical presumptions. They are
sworn verdict. Ezekiel 12:25 25 For I am the
LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it
shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say
the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD. Read also Hab 2:1-3, Isa 14:24 24 The LORD of hosts hath sworn, saying,
Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:
The
bible in your hand is a prophetic book. Isa
34:16 16 Seek ye out of the book of the LORD, and
read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it
hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. 2 Pet
1:19-21. God’s word is highly
prophetic.
These
keys include the following:
1.
Inject
your faith into every prophetic word. Lk 1:45 45
And blessed is she that
believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her
from the Lord; Act 27:30-31.
What you don’t believe can never come to pass in your life.
2.
Expect to
see it fulfill – what you don’t expect never comes through (Pro 23:18 18 For surely there is an end; and thine
expectation shall not be cut off; pro 24:14.
14 So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it , then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not
be cut off. God’s wisdom demands that you expect what you claim
to believe. Faith is the substance of
things expected.
3. Engage
the power of the Holy Ghost: The power
of the almighty shall overshadow you….Lk 1:35
4.
And the angel
answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power
of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which
shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. How? By praying in the Holy Ghost
5.
Engage in Spiritual Warfare 1Tim1:18
18 This charge I commit unto thee,
son Timothy, according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou
by them mightest war a good warfare;
6.
Why?.
There are many adversaries. 1 Cor 16:9 9 For
a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.
7.
Give yourself wholly to the demand of the
prophetic 1 Tim 4:15 15 Meditate upon these things; give
thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
8. Let
the thought of it fill your heart. Live
with them. It may sound weird, it must
come to pass.
9. Rejoice
in the Lord always: Hab 3:17-19 17
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in
the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no
meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: 18 Yet I will rejoice in
the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. 19 The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my
feet like hinds' feet , and he
will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed
instruments.
10. Phil
4:4 4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
11.
You can complain and murmur your way into the prophetic.
Joel 1:11-12 11 Be ye ashamed, O ye husbandmen;
howl, O ye vinedressers, for the wheat and for the barley; because the harvest
of the field is perished. 12 The vine is dried up, and the fig tree
languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are
withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.

“Wherever you start from, Rejoice and I say Rejoice” Phil 4:4
13. Engage
in faith filled thoughts It will activate faith filled actions. Prov 23:7 7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. Mk
11:23 23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever
shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea;
and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he
saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
14. Every
prophet sent to you demands that you believe in him (Mk 6:5 5 And he could there do no mighty
work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them), 1 Sam 2:3. 3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the LORD is a God of knowledge, and by him
actions are weighed.
To
God be all the glory!
UNVEILING THE POWERS OF THE WORLD TO COME
(Heb 6:5) 5
And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,
We
must appreciate first and foremost that the powers of the world to come is
real (Lk 14:17 17 And sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden,
Come; for all things are now ready). The kingdom of God is ordained to be
functioning now. For the tabanacle of
God is with men (John 8:23 23 And he said unto them, Ye are from
beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.
Redemption
is ordained to make heaven on earth the portion of believers. In heaven nothing defiles (Rev 21 :4 4 And God shall wipe away all tears from
their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,
neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.)
There are not tears in heaven. There are
no deaths in heaven. From this day, all
that are listed in this passage becomes your portion in Jesus Name!
In a
life of heaven on earth we are like angels Rev 8:2-9. Angels don’t die, angels to go begging. Angels don’t fall sick! Angels don’t need
health care policy to stay healthy. Angels don’t get involve in accident. All these shall be some of the attribute you
will possess from this day forward if you care to believe in Jesus Name.
Angels are custodians of
divine secrets. No matter how many degrees you may possess, you need the spirit
of God to know what God has install for you.
Everyone sited in heavenly places is ordained to live an angel. (Exo
23:20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the
way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.)
Unusual
exploits are attributes of angels (Isa 37:36 36
Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians a
hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the
morning, behold, they were all
dead corpses). Angels
cannot be enchanted. God has ordained
your enthronement. All you need to do is
to know what to do. Rev 22:3 3 And there shall be no more curse: but the
throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
Therefore I prophesy into your life today, there shall be no
more enchantment or divination that will ever come to pass in your life from
this day forward in Jesus Name.
THE PLACE OF SERVICE IN YOUR ENTHRONMENT
I
like us to know that anointing for enthronement is an anointing for
savant-hood. You have to be in service
to live a heaven on earth dimension of blessing. Thou shall serve the Lord your God…(Exo
23:25-26 25 And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and
he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the
midst of thee.
26
There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of
thy days I will fulfil). Job 36:11 11
If
they obey and serve him , they
shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
Heaven
is the epitome of prosperity. These are characteristics of heaven on
earth. In 1Samuel
16:1 And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I
have rejected him from reigning over Israel? fill thine horn with oil, and go,
I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have provided me a king among
his sons.
Samuel
was hunting for David. He found him
serving as a Shepherd boy. 1SAMUEL 16
11 And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There
remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said
unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.
12 And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to.
And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.
13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in
the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that
day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.
14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an
evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
It
is serving the interest of others that makes a leader. Serving the interest of the Kingdom is what
brings us to reign Eternally (Mat 6:33, Mt 20:27.
You never find a bench warming
believer enthroned. Stop counting days –
Nobody deteriorates in value by adding value. So stop wasting in God’s kingdom.
(Isa 42:1-4). I was performing my
function in a church and a message was preached from the scriptures mentioned
above on a topic captioned “THE SPIRIT
OF SAVANTHOOD” at Winners Chapel, Egba 1, Benin City when the Lord spoke to my
Spirit- My Son, read further, this is what you have been asking of me to show
you the path of life. I read and saw in
verse 6 through 8 and stopped. Then he
said that is the commission I have given to you. I am glad I obeyed that divine instruction
today.
And by a prophet the Lord brought
them out of Egypt and by a prophet the Lord preserved them…Rev 22:4. Therefore whatever was not so from the
beginning that is in your life dissolves today in Jesus Name.
Remember,
it takes empowerment to live a life of heaven on earth. I am baptized into my
mentor Bishop David Oyedepo Just as the children of Israel where baptized unto
Moses. 1Corinthians 10:2 And were all
baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea;. Therefore, I am gliding on the wings of my
spiritual father and my mentor. Exodus 19:4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians,
and [how] I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself. Moses was that bearer. Numbers 11:14 I am not
able to bear all this people alone, because [it is] too heavy for me.
There is a prophet sent
before you. You will locate him and your
journey in life shall become smooth in Jesus Name. Amen!
